Repair costs and customer resources

Most of the questions we get before a booking are not about appliances. They are about money, time and trust: what the visit costs, whether the machine is worth fixing, what happens if the repair fails, what to have ready. This section answers them in writing, so the answer you read here is the answer you get on the phone and on the invoice.

After the repair

  • Parts and repair warranty: what a repair warranty typically covers and excludes, how to make a claim, and the legal warranty context in Quebec.

Before the visit

Why we write this down

An appliance repair is a small transaction with a large information gap. You cannot see inside the machine and you are relying on the person who can. Publishing the fee, the method and the warranty terms in advance narrows that gap. If anything on these pages does not match what you are told on the day, tell us; the page wins.

Questions

Are the prices on this site the prices I'll pay?

The only price we publish is the $89 diagnostic, waived when you proceed with the repair. Repair prices are quoted in writing after diagnosis, because they depend on what actually failed.

Do these pages apply in Gatineau as well as Ottawa?

Yes. Where Quebec's consumer-protection rules differ from Ontario's, the page says so, with a link to the Office de la protection du consommateur.

Can I get a copy of the written finding after the visit?

Yes. The one-page finding is left with you at the visit, and a digital copy is emailed to you afterwards.
