- Long or gravel driveways and rural roads: tell us if the driveway is steep, unplowed in winter or has a gate, so the technician can plan the approach
- Give the full civic address (the 911 number on the sign at the road) rather than a village name, so we can confirm the distance and the travel fee before you book
- Private well or septic: mention it, and whether you have a softener or sediment filter, when the fault involves water (fills, drains, smells)

What's specific about appliance repair in rural Ottawa
Service in the villages is the same visit as anywhere else: a technician comes to the house, finds the cause, and gives you a written finding with the repair and the price before any work starts. What is different is the distance and the house. Three things are worth knowing before you book.
Travel. The $89 + tax diagnostic covers travel within our standard area. An extra travel fee applies beyond 35 km, quoted before booking. It depends on the address, so give us the full address, or your postal code, when you book or call and we will tell you the total before we schedule the visit. If the address is under 35 km there is no extra fee.
Well water and septic. Many rural homes are on a private well and a septic system instead of city water and sewer. Sediment or hard water is a common reason a dishwasher fills slowly, a washer's inlet screens clog or a fridge water line stops flowing, and a septic or drain problem can look like a washer that will not drain. Tell us at booking if you are on a well and whether there is a softener or sediment filter, and we will check the inlet screens and drain path as part of the diagnostic. Water treatment and septic work are for a plumber or a water-treatment company; we will tell you in the written finding if that is where the fault is.
Plan the parts. Because the drive is longer, we would rather arrive with the right part. Send the brand, the model number (the sticker inside the door or on the back) and a photo of any error code when you book, and we can plan the visit around it.

Do you serve Carp, Richmond, Greely, Navan and Cumberland?

Is there a travel fee for the villages?
An extra travel fee applies beyond 35 km, quoted before booking. It depends on the address, so we quote it when you book, before the visit is scheduled. Addresses inside 35 km have no extra fee. The diagnostic itself is $89 + tax, waived when you proceed with the repair.
Do you charge more for evenings or weekends?
No. Visits inside our regular hours (Mon–Fri 7 am–9 pm, Sat–Sun 8 am–6 pm, holidays included) are the same price. Emergency calls outside those hours are a $169 emergency call.
I am on a well. Does that change the repair?
Not the visit. Well water can affect fill valves, inlet screens and ice-maker lines, so we check those on the diagnostic if the symptom involves water. Tell us at booking whether you have a softener or sediment filter.
Can you come the same day?
Often, when a technician has an open window; the booking form shows today when a window is open. Otherwise call or text and we will tell you plainly what the first available slot is.
Do you also serve Kemptville, Carleton Place, Arnprior, Rockland, Russell or Embrun?
