Its Canadian main office is at 5070 Whitelaw Road in Guelph. The product range is compact refrigeration, freezers, wine and beverage coolers, portable and countertop dishwashers, apartment-size ranges and compact laundry.
For repair, Danby appliances are simple: most compact fridges and freezers use a mechanical thermostat, a start relay and a single compressor, and wine coolers are either thermoelectric (no compressor) or compressor-based, which changes what can be fixed. Danby's support site handles warranty and registration by model and serial number but does not publish a label locator.
Finding your Danby model and serial number
Danby's support and registration pages ask for the model and serial number but do not say where the label is. On Danby units the rating label is usually inside the door frame or on the back panel; send us a photo if you cannot find it. In our experience the rating label on Danby compact fridges, freezers and wine coolers is on the back of the cabinet or on an inside wall of the compartment; on portable and countertop dishwashers it is on the back or the door edge; on apartment-size ranges it is on the frame behind the storage drawer or the oven door frame. Look for a label with both a model number (often starting with D, for example DAR, DCF, DWC or DDW) and a serial number, and photograph it before you call.

Parts and compatibility
Danby parts are ordered by model number through Danby's Canadian parts channel. Thermostats, relays, fans, door gaskets and thermoelectric modules are generally obtainable for recent models; compressors and control boards for compact units can cost more than the unit is worth, and the written finding says so. Parts for older or discontinued Danby models may not be available. Being a Guelph company, Danby's Canadian parts supply is domestic, but we do not promise lead times.

Is a Danby bar fridge worth repairing?
If the fault is a thermostat, fan, relay or door seal, often yes. If the compressor or sealed system has failed, usually not, and the $89 finding will say so; that is all you pay.
Where is the model number on my Danby fridge or wine cooler?
Usually on a label on the back of the cabinet or on an inside wall of the compartment. Photograph the whole label; the model number typically starts with D.
Can you fix a thermoelectric wine cooler?
Sometimes. Thermoelectric coolers have a Peltier module and a fan instead of a compressor; fan and module faults are repairable when parts are available. The finding tells you whether it makes sense.

Yes. Portable and countertop Danby dishwashers are common in older Ottawa and Gatineau rentals. Common faults are the faucet adapter, drain pump and door latch.
