About Beko appliances

Who makes Beko. Beko is a Turkish appliance brand founded in Istanbul in 1954. It belongs to Arçelik A.Ş., which is controlled by the Koç Holding group. In April 2024 Arçelik said it would operate on the global market under the name Beko Corporate. The group also owns Blomberg and Grundig. In 2024 it formed Beko Europe, a joint venture with Whirlpool Corporation that brought the European Hotpoint brand, among others, under the Beko umbrella. None of that affects a Beko bought here. North American Beko models are sold through Beko U.S., Inc., based in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

Beko in Canada. Beko's U.S. site does not list Canada in its country selector, and there is no Canadian Beko site. Canadian retailers sell Beko dishwashers, bottom-freezer fridges, electric ranges and the 24-inch washer and heat-pump dryer pair. Beko's U.S. dishwasher manual says its warranty covers Beko dishwashers sold to the original buyer "in the US and Canada," with warranty service done by an authorized Beko service agency. Product pages list a two-year warranty on current models. If your Beko is still covered, call Beko first; the warranty and parts line on Beko's U.S. site is (888) 352-2356.

Design features that change a repair.

• Dishwashers. Many Beko dishwashers have a CornerIntense spray arm that turns on a moving axis, an EverClean filter that rinses itself with pressurized water, a fan-assisted drying system and an overflow safety system. Beko's manual for the DIS25842 family says the E:01 icon flashes when the machine detects overflow and then tries to pump the water out, and E:02 flashes when the water supply is cut off. The self-rinsing filter still needs occasional cleaning: the manual tells owners to twist out the three-part filter (micro, coarse and metal or plastic) and rinse it. A wrong filter fit reduces washing performance.
• Heat-pump dryers. The 24-inch HPD24414W2 is ventless. Instead of blowing hot air outside, it condenses moisture into a water tank or a drain hose and has a "Fusion Filter" and a condenser-cleaning indicator. A slow Beko heat-pump dryer is usually diagnosed around airflow, filters and the condensate path first, not around a heating element. The heat-pump circuit holds refrigerant: we diagnose it, and refrigerant work is done for us by a certified refrigeration technician.
• Inverter motors and compressors. Beko calls its variable-speed parts "ProSmart Inverter": an inverter motor in dishwashers and dryers, and an inverter compressor in fridges. An inverter motor or compressor is driven by an electronic control, so a "not running" fault has to be traced through the board as well as the motor. That is technician work.
• Refrigerators. Counter-depth models such as the BFBD30216SSIM have electronic touch controls, AeroFlow air distribution, a HarvestFresh crisper that cycles coloured lights, a FreshGuard odour filter with UV LEDs, and an automatic ice maker. Several of those features add LEDs, fans and sensors on top of the usual defrost system.
• Connected models. Some Beko appliances work with the HomeWhiz app. A lost app connection is not the same as a failed appliance, and we check whether the appliance itself works before quoting any part.

Before you book. On a dishwasher, make sure the water valve under the sink is open, then twist out the filter and rinse all three parts. On a heat-pump dryer, clean the door lint filter and the Fusion Filter, and empty the water tank or check that the drain hose is not kinked. On a stacked compact pair, check that the dryer's condensate hose and the washer's drain hose are not pinched behind the stack. If the fault comes back after that, the next steps involve panels, boards or the heat-pump circuit, and those are for a technician.

Recalls. When we searched Health Canada's recalls database in September 2026 we found no Beko appliance recall. Search it again with your model number before you pay for a repair.

Finding your Beko model and serial number

Beko does not publish one North American label chart, so here is what its own pages say:

• Freezers and freezer sections: Beko's U.S. help centre says every Beko freezer has a unique serial number "located inside your appliance, on the left-hand side wall."
• Dishwashers: Beko's U.S. dishwasher manual shows a "Model and Serial Tag" on its parts diagram. Open the door and check the diagram in your manual to find the tag on your model.
• Washers, dryers, ranges and refrigerators: we did not find a Beko North American page giving the label position. Check the owner's manual, then the door frame and the inside walls.

Beko model numbers are letter-and-number codes such as DDT38532XIH or HPD24414W2, and the suffix matters: the same base number with a different suffix can be a different finish, a different hinge side or a different version. Parts and compatibility

Beko parts are ordered through Beko's North American parts line, the (888) 352-2356 number on its factory-authorized parts page. Its U.S. site does not say how orders to Canada are handled, so some parts may take longer to reach Ottawa than parts for GE or Whirlpool-family appliances. Beko parts are specific to Beko. Very little crosses over from other brands, except some parts shared with Blomberg, which belongs to the same group. We still confirm every part by model number.

Model-specific parts include control boards, inverter motors, heat-pump dryer modules, dishwasher spray-arm and filter assemblies, and HarvestFresh or FreshGuard light and filter parts. Your written finding gives the part, the price and the expected lead time before you decide, and says plainly when the wait or the cost makes replacement the better choice.
